Transcription: It does take some dogs longer than others to learn these commands, but I've used these techniques successfully in every dog I've trained, with the exception of two, in the last 14 years. Some dogs need as few as five trials to learn the response. Some may need as many as 200, not in a row, but possibly over a two-week period. But most dogs will learn their first command in about a week of one hour sessions and as they come to understand the process, they'll pick up new commands even more quickly.
